A Summer Job You Won't Forget!
We are hiring various different Staff and Leadership positions;
Student Leaders in Training (SLT)
SLTs are unpaid staff positions. These positions are created for people who hope to be part of full-time paid staff in the future. it is an opportunity for camp to invest in you while you learn the ropes of being a leader and get experience volunteering with kids at camp.
You must be 15 years old by June 1 to apply as an SLT.
Leaders are responsible for building relationships with campers and connecting them to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This role is present with campers all day and will participate in camp activities with campers.
You must be at least 16 years old by June 1 to apply for a paid staff position.
Key Leaders are responsible for building relationships with campers and connecting them to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They oversee campers, leaders, and volunteers in their assigned activity group, as well as ensuring the content for their activity group is relevant and engaging.
Leadership staff serve behind the scenes of camp, assisting the rest of the Camp Vertical staff members. They liaison between activity groups and help with camp communication and needs.
You must be at least 18 years old by June 1 to apply for leadership staff.
Office Staff Members are present throughout the day to fulfill office and administrative needs, especially in regard to communication to and from parents.
Staff applications are due Feb 18.
Interviews will be scheduled during the months of February & March.
Staff decisions will be made and you will be notified mid-April.
Steps of the hiring process take place in the months of April & May.
Mandatory Training Week for all summer staff is Saturday 6/4 through Saturday 6/11.
Training is held in the evenings during the week (so there is no conflict with school)
Camp runs for 8 weeks from June 13 through Aug 12.
NO camp the week of July 4-8.
Mandatory Camp Cleanup Day is Aug 13 and would be your last day of employment.

SLTs can fill out the same new staff application and will go through the same interview process as paid staff
If you are 18 or older and interested in applying for a leadership position (coordinators) make sure to check any position you are interested in, including Key Leading. You may be asked to come in for a brief leadership interview.
